Midas Touch: Clutches

"Camilla" by Felix Ray, $203 from Shopbop.com. "Lolita" by Christian Louboutin, £795 from Matches.

"Skorpios" by Michael Kors, £450 from Net-a-Porter. "Keke" by Aftershock London, £18 from Aftershock.

"Alonsio" by Reiss, £54 from Asos.com. Gold mesh clutch by Drap, £195 from Asos.com.

What else besides a great clutch can effortless go from day to night (beside you of course)? Small enough to use as a wallet during business hours and chic enough to pop out for a night on the town, clutches are one of my fave buys. And while the glitz of holiday ware is behind us till next year, I still can't quite leave all that shimmer behind. Adding gold tones in the form of a clutch adds that small touch of glamour and can also act as a neutral as the hue pairs well with most colours. My picks? For deep pocketed gals, I adore the Louboutin but for those of us working with a budget, the unexpected rose gold option by Reiss is tops.

Style: Wrist Worthy

As far as jewellery goes, it's slim pickings as to what part of my body I'm willing to adorn with something different everyday. For example, I never purchase any rings because nothing can really compete with my diamond and wedding band combo. And if I wear a necklace, it's a certain piece I'm stuck on for months. As for earrings? I seldom remember my lobes. So that leaves the only blank body part: my wrists. Sure, I'll wear a watch sometimes (a Michael Kors beauty gifted to me by my hubby), but unlike with the bridal set I'm willing to stack on additional bling if the need arises.

So without further ado (and with much thanks to my InDesign and "Rocky" week on Virgin 1 to distract said hubby), here's a compilation of arm candy:

Style: Holiday Looks 101

I'm throwing the first holiday party of the season this Friday (a Mexican Thanksgiving fiesta), so I've been thinking of what to wear. Although my party is a little more laid back, I'm looking forward to donning one or all of the below styles this year...Depending on just how many of those coveted invites I receive!

Here's my ideal, no-fail look (I'm a jeans addict):

But I'm also digging frilly feather skirts a la this black beauty:

... & brave bodycon dresses (Try this one before you dig into myriad Christmas puddings, though! It's not quite as forgiving as the aforementioned outfits.):

Gold Lace Bodycon Dress in black and white, £40.

What trends will you incorporate to get that festive look this holiday season?
